Shawn and Terry caught the flu, and Fred broke his leg. Suddenly our Midcity boys' basketball team was down to five players and zero substitutes.
Coach Fisher talked to us. "League rules require at least one player on the bench. We have two choices. One, we can forfeit the championship game with Central this Friday."
"Forfeit? No way!" I exclaimed.
"Can't we just suit up some kid-any kid?" Mark asked.

What words or phrases can 'suit up' be replaced with?
In my dictionary, there is no 'suit up'.
Thanks. |

To suit up means to put on the team uniform. Couldn't we just let some fellow put on the team uniform and sit on the bench so we won't forfeit the game? _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
