Hi teachers,
I have three questions regarding camp.
Please help me with them.
Thank you so much.
1. I see involvment in activities as *a* practical way to learn new things and improve interpersonal social skills.
Is the *a* needed in the sentence?
2.we dont have a TV in camp because we enjoy the peace and *quiet* of the mountains and love to hear the sounds of laughing children.
Should it be *quietness*?
3.Q Is there life after camp?
A Yes, contrary to popular belief, you will make it through and still be alive. You will grow in experience in ways you never thought possible, *and even have fun at the same time.*
If the question is "Is there life *after* camp?" why did it reply you might have fun at teh same time? |

1. Yes, Ma'am.
2. No, Ma'am. "Peace and quiet" is a redundant expression meaning relative silence. "We like to escape the city for the peace and quiet of the desert." "Can I get some peace and quiet? I'm trying to read." No one says "quietness" instead of "peace and quiet."
3. Means even have fun at the same time as you have other experiences after camp is over. Not at the same time as going to camp. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Sorry, sir, I am still confused. The question seems to mean "Is there life *after* camp, but why is it "the same time as you have other experiences"?
Thank you, CP. |

Okay, sorry I wasn't clear.
3. Q Is there life after camp? Means, Camp is a great experience, maybe the most fun you'll have in your life. But eventually camp ends, and you have to go back home. Will life ever be this good again?
A Yes, contrary to popular belief, you will make it through and still be alive. You will grow in experience in ways you never thought possible, and even have fun at the same time. Means, yes, life after camp is over can also be fun. You will grow in experience, you grow in other ways, and you will have fun as you do so--even though you are not at camp any longer.
Does that help? _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
