| He checked out yesterday. |
Someone said that the quote means 'He passed away yesterday.'.
But I cannot agree with him because there is no that kind of expression in my dictionary.
According to my dictionary, 'check out' means 'make sure', 'borrow a book from a library', 'check out in a hotel', and 'investigate'.
1.Does the expression in the quote make sense?
2.If so, does it be frequently used among native speakers?
Thanks. |
