1. She exclaimed what a beautiful day.
2. She told me what a beautiful day.
Q: 1) and 2) are grammatically right, even though they didn't have " it was" at the end of the sentences? |

You could say: She exclaimed, "What a beautiful day!" If it's indirect speech, it doesn't sound right to me without the "it was." |
