Hello,

Sometimes easy phrases are quite confusing.

I wonder which one is correct or does each have some kind of difference in meaning or nuiance?

1. She faints if she tries to get out of the bed.
2. She faints if she tries to get out of bed.

3. Who will be our new manager?
4. Who will our new manager be?

Thank you there all the time.

1. and 2. do not mean quite the same thing.

1. She faints if she tries to get out of the bed, means, she faints if she tries to get out of a particular bed, or one that has already been mentioned.
e.g. My mother is in hospital. The bed in her room is really complicated. She is improving, but she faints if she tries to get out of the bed.

2. She faints if she tries to get out of bed, means she faints if she tries to get out of any bed, anywhere, any time.

So the difference is slight, but it is there.
