I still don`t understand why ` confidence� wouldn`t be used by a native speaker in a sentence like this.It should be: Thank you for trusting me.
Please help me understand. |

Thank you for your confidence is perfectly acceptable.
If you open an account with a stockbroker, for example, he might thank you like that, especially nowadays. |
