Is that suitable to call poeple from other countries a " foreigner " ?
Why some teachers from USA regard " foreigner " as a rude word to call them ?
Are their any different concept about " foreigner " from other countries except USA ? |

| I'm American, and I do not see the word "foreigner" as necessarily a rude word to call someone. However, if you are constantly pointing out that I am a foreigner, and call me "foreigner" instead of my name, then I would wonder what your motivation is behind it. I think a lot of it has to do with American culture. In our culture, it is generally inappropriate to point out our differences in public. |
