|
|
I've learned a word"Hijack"
I know that it happens when someone like terrorists control the plane
But doesn't make sense to me.
What's the connection between two events?
I found that it could be seperated to "Hi! Jack!"
But it is not a formal explantation.(I think)
My question is that what was this word come from?
Thanks!!!!!!! |

The origin of "Hijack" is not known. I have heard it said that it originated during the Prohibition years in the USA when criminals would say "Hi Jack", to the person whose truck load of Booze they were stealing.
Probably it dates back even further than that. |
