Please help me with the following questions. Thanks a lot.
(1) Have you ever imagined there is a bank _____ $86,400 into your
account each morning?
(A) to put (B) by putting (C) putting (D) put
Which choice is the best?
(2) The musician is trying to look for ways to unite the East with the West.
In the sentence, can I use "combine" instead of "unite"? |

1. "Putting".
2. Combine does mean almost the same thing as unite. However, in this example, I think, unite, when you are talking about politics, or military, is the stronger word and is therefore preferred. |
