Quote:
1.Our ancestors transferred our old culture to the country.
2.Our ancestors transferred our old culture from here to the country.

I made the sentences.
Could you tell me if they are correct?

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm assuming that you mean "rural," or outside the city, when you refer to "the country." Is that what you mean? If so, you might want to use the word "countryside." Or, do you mean it to be across the entire country, as in "the country of China"?

Also, since "ancestors" means people from the distant past, you probably don't have to include "old" when talking about the culture that the ancestors passed along.

1.Our ancestors transferred our old culture to the country.
This sentence is correct if you are speaking in general terms.
Another example:
Our ancestors transferred our culture throughout the country. [or, countryside.]

2.Our ancestors transferred our old culture from here to the country.
This sentence is correct if you are speaking about a specific place where the culture originated.
Another example:
Our ancestors transferred our culture from here in Paris to the entire country of France. [or, to the countrysides of France.]

Have this been helpful? If not, please ask again!
