I've just had a new book accepted by a publisher, about a boy who has leukaemia. Is this a subject that you would like to read about? As a writer I would like to know what sort of ending you expect in a story. Do you only like happy ends? Do you like sad stories? Or perhaps you don't mind as long as the story is good. I'd love to hear from you.

Congratulations on having your book accepted for publication, Jeremy.
Personally, I wouldn't read a book about a boy who has leukemia. I don't like stories about people struggling against disease, even if they have a happy ending.
As the health and fitness of the citizens of the developed countries declines, because of an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, our society has become obsessed with the avoidance of sickness and the achievement of a sterile, safe environment.
It's not going to happen.
Still, I congratulate you on recognizing that there is a morbid fascination with sickness in our society...As long as it's vicarious.
