Dear teachers!!
(1) When it comes to fishing, nobody knows more than Mike.
(2) When it comes down to fishing, nobody knows more than Mike.
What is the difference between (1) and (2)? Of course, I know the only difference is "down." Is this "down" used by emphasizing the sentence?

They are both OK. Probably #1 is more common.
They are synonymous. |
