Hello, teachers!!
(1) The book says that Mary Tudor, Queen Mary I of England got the nickname of Bloody Mary.
(2) The book writes that Mary Tudor, Queen Mary I of England got the nickname of Bloody Mary.
----->
Can you use "writes" in (2)?
Thank you in advance. |

No. We always say, "The book says..."
You can say "The author (of the book) writes... Or Tolstoy (or whoever)writes.. |
