The par past, typical family was very big in your country. grand mother, grand father, mother, father, uncle, aunt, sister, brother...
But today, typical family is very simple in Korea. Just mom, dad, one child.
Anyway I have one sister and one young brother.

Father work hard in his company becaus make money.
Mother is housewife. she usually stay in home but somtimes go shopping and meet hers friends.
My sister is 26 years old and she work in company. many people say, we look like just friend. She is very king and friendly.
My young brother is 11 years old and elementary school student. He is very cute. |

In the past, typical family in Korea is a big family. Grand Parents, Mother and father, and child. They worked on the farm.
They have rice farming, raise vegetables and so on.
So Parents take care of their grand parents and kids.
but now our typical family is small family.
Only live parents and their Kids. Parents are working in the buildings. Everythings are very convenience, comportable.
My family is 5 members.
my father working in the office and mother is homemaker. my sister is 19 years old. She is swimmer.
My brother is 12 years old. he is very young and very cuty than other kids for me. he also swimmer.

In Korea, most of family have a small family system.
My family is same as usual. I have parents and elder sister. That's all.
But in my opinion, having a big family is better than a small family.
Because it seems that many people don't know about helping each other.
Some people are very selfish and rude. it makes a wry face.
That's the reason why we have to have a big family. |

china has about 20%population of the world's population.
for many years the communist goverment, under the leadership of MAO,encourage the grow of the population, believing that there was strength in numbers and a great nation needs a great population!
so between postwar poriod(1945-1970),the average number of kids per couple was about six.
but nowaday, the goverment began promoying a kid family, which have been criticzed by many family! |

Just mom, dad and I.
I'm the only child in my family.
But my grandparents live close by my house.
So we have a friendly relation with them. |

The traditional family in Taiwan is wife lives with the husband's family. Usually the couple live with the husband's parents and have 2~3 children. My family is a traditional family, I live with my grandparents(my father's side), my parents and my brother and sister. Actually my uncle's family just live in next to mine. We have a lot of fun when the special festival like Chinese New Year because we have over 15 people in my house.
However, the family composition is changing. People get married late and more of them don't want to have baby. Even though they have baby, they just want one. Like my aunt, she got married late and just have one child.
Nowadays the birth rate in Taiwan is the lowest country in the world. In the past, we are three generation in family but now we called little family. And couple don't want to live with their parents. |
