Someone here in China posted an article on American English and pointed out that the subject line means one is going ot answer the call of nature.
That same article has been copied or transferred around with 120 appearances in different sites here in China.
I have searched for "may I go someway" both using China search engine and live.com but so far I cannot find a satisfactory explanation for this usage. I even searched www.urbandictionary.com and thefreedictionary.com to no avail.
I am seeking enlightenment from American native speakers now. Help please!!! |

Nobody says that when they want to go to the toilet.
Mostly they say, "May I go to the washroom/bathroom/toilet, please?" |
