Kasab, the only surviving terrorist is to be hanged. However, he could appeal to higher courts and finally a mercy petition with President, so that he could get means more more months. Also, there is no hangman available.

The guy was barely a teenage school drop-out (poverty ridden) when he was brainwashed/sold into joining the jihad factory. So this is no closure for India, in as much as his handlers are probably planning their next attack.

In view of the number of people murdered by this butcher and his misguided comrades I cannot see any alternative punishment being acceptable to the people who lost relatives.

Well, It is not justified until he punishment was done or he hanged. I don't know why people are still delaying hanging the idiot.
In Asia, 40 % of teen ages are still in same poverty and brain washed by group of self satisfied group. Education is best remedy for those people, until then we have the courage to face similar situation.
