Dear teachers,
I'm a student from Taiwan.
I would like to know how to use and the difference between "U.S.A" , "U.S" , "America" .
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sabrina |

The United States of America is often referred to as America or The United States, by the citizens of other English speaking countries.
I think the Americans themselves refer to the United Stetes of America as The US, The States, or The USA. |

I have only heard "the States" from people who don't live in the US. |

Hi Sabrina,
I've heard:
The US, USofA, USA, America, The United States, The United States of America, and Uncle Sam (informal and often refer to the government).
