Dear teacher,
There is a piece of news says turtles ran across runway in JFK airport.
quote
JetBlue reported the news with a series of light-hearted posts on its official Twitter account at approximately 9:40am.
One tweet read: 'Running over turtles is not healthy for them nor is it good for our tires.'

For the last sentence . is not healthy for them nor is it good for our tires. Please clarify me, why is it nor is it good.. instead of nor is good.?
Please help. |

"It" refers to the act of running over the turtles.

Tank you.
Could please clarify me, is "it" a MUST in this sentence? Or it could be omitted? |

| You must have it; it cannot be omitted. |

In the quoted sentence, nor is a conjunction joining two main clauses; it is the subject of the second main clause, and should not be omitted. Please note that nor introduces an inverted main clause.
I hope this helps. _________________ Mary W. Ng
