Hi,
What does 'I take my place' among something mean? Does it only mean literally 'sit and park'? Could it be used figuratively? If yes, could you please explain the figurative meaning?
Examples from internet are listed below:
1.I take my place among you as much as among any.....
2.I take my place among a few other coatless people who are randomly and colorfully dressed.
3. Lo, they do call to me; they bid me I take my place among them. In the Halls of Valhalla.
4. the place they sell lies, every morning I take my place among those people"
Thank you very much!! |

When you take your place among something, you become a member of that group -- literally and figuratively.
Literally would be a physical presence. Figuratively would be with the same thought, ideal or consciousness.
