Dear teachers:
I've been watching movies for learning English for several weeks.
There's a line in the movie which confuse me a lot.
A woman said that: "There's a driver license and a nine-year-old."
She said that because a man who is 10-year-older than her tries to ask her out.
To my surprised, the subtitles of the movies means that: "My age can be your daughter. "
Can anyone figure it out and explain to me?
Best wishes,
Grace |

| I suppose she means that you have to be 19 years old to get a driver's licence, so she is suggesting that it's like a 19 year old asking a 9 year old to go out on a date. |

Thanks a lot.
It's not an easy question for me.
But I think the explanation it's better than any I could figure out.
Thanks again. |
