Dear teachers,
here follows another composition (actually, a translation). As in the previous case, I not necessarilly agree with the author's ideas.


The problems of globalization and the consequences and challenges that it presents about themes such as biodiversity, cultural diversity and education are grounded in the historical perspective of the westernization of the world, which started with the European colonial domination since the 15th century and was ratified by the north-American mightiness in all its spheres, with its power of �disseminating culture�. This dominance of the western ethnocentrism, supported by a neoliberal ideology, comprises not only the economic-financial realm, as well as the control over information and communications concerning the major multinational companies, imposing, in this way, a cultural �standardization�. The globalization has its worst limitation in the fact that it does not offer a viable society model. The education, conceived as the transmission of visions about the world, of knowledge and of value systems, has an enormous historic challenge in the defense and preservation of the cultural diversity, what has been on debate within several spheres along several countries around the world.

There's not much wrong with it Clarissa. Without the original, it's difficult to tell if the translation is correct, but in any case, I don't speak Portuguese.
