1. I think 'we know that where the spirit leads, the body follows.' is wrong gramatically and instead 'we know where the spirit leads, the body follows.' is right.
Could you tell me if my opinion is right?
2. If not right, what does 'we know that where the spirit leads, the body follows.' mean?

"We know that X" is a phrase that introduces whatever fact or knowledge we wish to talk about:
We know that the pyramids were built a very long time ago.
We know that sound cannot travel in a vacuum.
You can think of it as: We know the fact that....
So, in this excerpt:
We know (the fact) that where the spirit leads, the body follows.
