I was testing these key ideas with a group when a woman objected. I dont understand this word projection. Are you saying that we just make God up? she asked.
Yes and no, I replied. A projection is different from a hallucination, which has no reality at all. A projection originates inside you, the observer, and therefore it defines your perception of reality it is your take on infinity. Which would make God just a comment about me? she asked. God cannot be just about you, but the portion of him that you perceive must be about you, because you are using your own brain and senses and memory. Since you are the observer, it is all right to see him through an image that is meaningful to you.

What does 'be about you' mean?
----- *'be around you' ?
or
*'be working something about you'?
or
*others?

Thanks.

"X is about Y" is a way of describing the character, nature, etc. of something. It's a way of summarizing a situation, giving the gist of a conversation, movie, etc.

The movie is about a man wrongly convicted of murder.
The meeting was about financial planning.
The conversation was about the weather.

So in your particular example, the writer is trying to say that the part of God that you know or understand is basically a reflection of yourself, or something that is essentially derived directly from your own situation or perspective.

Hope this helps Smile
