Has anyone studied at Shane English School? Which country and city? What did you think of the course materials? The teachers?

Today, The Saxoncourt Group has expanded to include schools in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Algeria and Poland, two international schools in the United Kingdom, a publishing company, and teacher training and recruitment services. For over thirty-five years, this growth has established Saxoncourt as a pioneer in the education industry. But while I am proud of our group’s achievements, I am always mindful of where we began.

Faculty is good, they know who to share knowledge with students. Simply they are the investors in education.

Having worked at a Shane franchise on the Chinese mainland and met the head office staff in Shanghai, what surprised me was the lack of communication between schools, head office support, and the inferior quality of teaching and testing material compared to similar franchise schools. I had higher expectations given Saxoncourt/Shane's 30+ years in the industry and that despite the volume of critical posts here and elsehwere no one bothered to take issue with this.

Seems Shane/Saxoncourt had it's heyday in the 80s and 90s during Japan's boom time so it's not surprising to see even Shane himself sell off assets in Japan leaving everyone else to either abandon the brand or continue to make a go of it as is the case in Asia.
