The FCE is a great test of your English. It is a strong Intermediate level. Even though it is a general English test, it is often used by companies in Europe as proof of basic English ability.
Your age is not important (many high school students do this test), but you English will need to be good in ALL areas to pass.
Do the test. It is a great way to improve your English.

I've just read your message and thought that I could share the experience with you. Today I've just passed the FCE exam. It really tests your level of english, so if I were you I would spend a lot of time preparing for it. But don't worry, it's not as horrible as it may seem. First of all I should mention that there is a slight regularity. If the first paper is very difficult, the second must be easy. In my case, rading and writing were quit difficult; use of english was medium; listening and speaking were easy. For example, in the first part of writing 3 tipes of letters were combined (thanking, apology and making arrangments) while most gaps of the second part of listening contained 1 word and the tape was easily undarstood. So get ready and just
GOOD LUCK!!! |

Here's an excellent website to share your experiences and ask questions
www.flo-joe.co.uk you only have to look for the forum site, it's on the students site I think..

No idea. I would like to know what it is too. I have never heard of this exam anywhere. So what exactly is this exam about? Is this some kind of exam similar to the IELTS? Please help me understand these guys.
