I don't think the word "freefall" is being used literally here. It probably just means that callers to the radio show can talk about anything they want; maybe at other times, the show has a more specific topic. I suspect that "freefall" serves an alliterative purpose. That is, it's used to create a catchy nickname by combining "Friday" with another word beginning with "f."
