Hi Blondy,

In the US, it is usually said as 'two thousand two.' I don't know if that's how they say it in other English-speaking countries.

The best way to say 2002 would be: Two thousand AND two. Don't forget the "and"! Very Happy

The more common, casual way, at least in the US, would be "two thousand two." I don't think I've ever heard anyone inserting the "and." This whole issue is kind of strange, because we would say "nineteen oh four (five, six, etc.)", but not "twenty oh" anything.

I'm not so sure. When we reach 2010, I think people will use "twenty-ten", "twenty-eleven", and so on at least as equally as "two-thousand-ten", "two-thousand-eleven". It seems natural. But we'll have to wait 6 more years to be sure.

Welcome to the forum,

I think that most countries outside the US say 'two thousand AND two.' But nobody is going to worry if you say it the American way, no more than an American would worry if you chucked in the AND. Say it the way that sounds better to you.
