Please help me explain the difference between 'note' and 'notification'.

As a subject for an email or a fax - 'note for sb' or 'notification for sb', which one is correct or better?

Thanks in advance

The word "notification" is a formal word. It is usually used as a business term. For example, if you were accepted to a university, they would send you notification of your acceptance. "Note" is informal. You can write a note to a friend.
So in the email subject, you could write "note for sb" if it was friendly or informal. If it is a business email or something serious, you could write, "notification for sb".
