Hello Very Happy
I live in Japan, and I'm a university student.
These days I write an essay about watching TV in the class.
I asked some questions about TV to some students.
Also, I have a question Question
If you have your young children, do you permit your children to watch any TV program??
And, how long did you watch TV in your childhood?
I want to listen to a lot of opinions Smile
Please tell me Rolling Eyes

If I have children, I would want them to spend more time on reading instead of watching TV or surfing the internet. In fact, I guess most TV programs are just for killing time and not educational. Children should learn something more meaningful. As for me, I actually don't watch TV too much. I like to rent DVDs in my leisure time. Maybe the most TV programs I watch are news. Sounds boring, doesn't it?

If I can avoid it, I'm not letting my children near a TV until they're at least five or six years old. There is a lot of research out there that says TV is harmful for very young children. I did not watch a lot of TV when I was really young. When I was seven or eight, I started watching about three to four hours a day. I don't watch nearly that much anymore.
