i am a muslim girl...

we celebrate in two occusions... one is called Eid Alfiter...it comes after a month that we fast in ....and the other is called Eid Aladha... it comes after the muslims pilgrimage to Macca...

How is Eid Alfiter and Eid Aladha celebrated? Do you have special food, songs or presents on this occasion

For my A-levels in French I worked on the theme "Muslims in France" and read a book called "B�ni ou le paradis priv�" by Azouz B�gag (I don't know if you happen to know this book, I can really recommend this to everyone. Do you speak French?). The book tells the story of a young 'beur' (the name given to the second generation of immigrants from Algeria) who is stuck between two cultures and has the feeling that he belongs to neither of them. In one chapter the boy is really fed up that muslims don't celebrate Christmas and therefore get no presents. He complains that they don't have a feast especially celebrated for children.
Is this true, would you agree?

before each Eid people go to buy new clothes to wear in the morning of Eid...women start to bake one day before cokies and sweets or they can buy them...

in the morning of Eid ....childern wear their new clothes kis thier mums and dads...they go to the neighbors... and the neighbors give them some money... half a dollar or more...the relatives visits eachother ... and people gives money for kids...and kidz go to buy sweets or toys with thier money... this countinue for four days...

each country and culture has it is own songs for Eid...also there are lots of celebrations in each country...for example their is a celbration in the middle of Ramadan month in which people fast in the day...the childern at that day wear nice clothes and go at night to collect nuts and sweets from the niegbours...it is like Halloween...

so i dont a gree with the book that you mentioned... i think this man is confused because he lives in a country and practice another culture...that is all ....and in all the islamic countires there is celbrations...

i have taken some courses in Frensh but i am bad at comunication..
