I enjoy a good scare. I do not enjoy watching young women get tied to a chair and then have her lips glued together-only to watch later on as she has to rip her lips apart in a *loving* closeup.
How could anything in that description be loving?
Thanks

Hello Miss Daredevil,
This is an example of creative writing - 'loving' here is not referring to the image of the woman ripping her lips apart. It is referring to the style of close-up. I believe it means the care/feeling with which the photographer/director treated the shot.
If anyone has a better explanation - please share. |

Is *loving* in that case, used in a satrical way?
