I take three days to do it.

Is this correct? It is better to say, "It takes three days to do it," but is the top one correct?

How about "I took three days to do it," or "I will take thrre days to do it?"

Thanks.

Each is correct, but they have different meanings.
Quote:
I take three days to do it.

Someone else might take 2 or 4 days to do it, but when I do it, I always take 3 days.
Quote:
It takes three days to do it.

When anyone does it (you, me, or anyone else), it always takes 3 days.

Both are fine for past and future tense respectively.

You're welcome. Yeah, it's tricky. Lawyers and contract agents live for this stuff.
