so where do you think is best value for the money? Looking into all the schools and programs I'm finding that the average cost is overwhelming.
my friend from korea wants to learn english...so far looking into america right now but canada may be an option. he is working fulltime right now just so he can save (and borrow) enough for a few months to learn English, I wonder if any of you all have recommendations on any programs you've experienced? Somewhere that doesn't completely rip him off and try to make oh say....take students on 'cultural roadtrips' that cost $300 each for a night in Las Vegas at a shoddy motel.
Please, don't MARKET your language program as a response to this...I think the point of this side of the Forum Discussion was for Students and not Teachers. A place with good learning environment and teachers that care would be nice enough, or at least not a horrible place. Decent is all I ask for. |

Good morning,
I read your posting and I know a good school in Alberta, Canada. It's near the Rocky mountains and the beautifull national parks of Alberta. You can contact Cynthia Temoin at Deerfoot College in Alberta. Her e-mail is: [email protected]

Since I've been searching around sia for a good program, I've narrowed it down to Malaysia as they mainly speak English there and it is cheaper than Singapore or Taiwan or Korea and much less than Australia, the US or Canada.
I've just started looking at schools there and am open to suggestions. But I agree with Corey that it is important to pay attention to quality and well trained teachers.
Best of Luck

If you are looking for something cost effective this might help. It's not in another country but will save you some bucks. _________________ Sincerely,
