Dear Teachers,
I saw dialogues in some sitcom. And I wonder what 'You're on." means. The dialogues are as follows:
Roz: [getting up] Forget it, Bulldog. These guys are no fun.
[grabs his butt as she walks past] You know what? I know a
great after-hours place where we can go get a few drinks.
Bulldog: [rushing after Roz to the front door] Now youre talking.
Hey, if things go well I know an after after-hours place.
And I got the keys.
Roz: Mmm. You get the elevator; Ill get my coat.
Bulldog: Youre on.
Bulldog rushes out and Roz closes the door behind him, firmly
locking it.
Roz: No good lies, my ass!
Thanks for your help.

Hello, Leslie,
This isn't an easy question to answer. The expression "You're on" is often used when agreeing to a bet. In the dialogue above, Bulldog agrees with Roz's suggestion, "You get the elevator; Ill get my coat." _________________ If a man constantly aspires is he not elevated?
