My school will have an all-sided english test for all students in a month. Although I am not an English teacher, but one week ago, those English teachers asked me to join them and test students' oral English. I felt excited and honored

however, From then on, I have been very nervous. After all, I am not a professional English teacher, as a Chinese saying tells: become a monk late in life. but those english teachers comforted me:"relax! those students' english is mostly awful!" But those kind words still don't work

Yesterday, I asked a student:"how about we talk in english for the purpose of practising? just for a while, ok?" he agreed. here was our conversation in English:

Me: Hello! nice to meet you!
Student: you too
Me:where is your hometown?
Student: My mum is 50 years old.
Me:when did you first come to this colloge?
Student: I have 2 sisters, no bother.
Me: what do you major in now?
Student: I dislike fast food!
.........

OMG!! finally I told him in Chinese:"are you kidding? all your answers were irrelevant to my questions!"

He answered:"sorry, teacher, I didn't know what you were talking about...but I have already recited some dialogues to deal with the coming english exam! when you asked me, I just answered." Laughing Laughing

hah, maybe you should have asked what he had recited. At that time, probably he was thinking" why didn't you ask what I know? you are the person who asked questions that were irrelevant to my answers."
