1.Wat was then? (???) (= What happened then?, What followed?)
2.After the divorce he wanted to take time to find his feet. (???)
(= After the divorce he took a while to find his feet)
3. The `ingredientsare meant as the `membersof a boy band. (???)
(= The word ngredientsmeans `members of a boy band)
1. What happened then? is good. Or, you could useWhat happened next? What came next? Or simply, And then? Or even simply "And ...?" (raising your tone at the end to make a question..) But "What was then?" is not grammatical.
2. After the divorce he wanted to take time to get his feet on the ground. Or "get his feet back on the ground."
Or, "... he wanted to take time to get back on his feet." Actually, "finding his feet" is rather poetic, but it is not a recognized idiom. I rather like it, though!
You could say "find his way" or even "find himself". Or "get his bearings." These are all accepted idioms for this context.
3. I don't get what you intend for your meaning here in #3, sorry. Please retry? _________________ "This is insolence up with which I will not put." Winston Churchill, upon reading a newspapers criticism of his having ended a sentence with a preposition.
