This very tragic historical development can be led back as well to the warfare between Indians and Americans during which many Indians lost their lives, as well as being killed from European diseases.

| Hmm... I'd say it is grammatical, but I'm not positive. I do think that "led" does not work very well, though. Maybe consider "traced" as a substitute. |
