Hello, everyone! It's great to see you here.

I am a student from Taiwan and have some questions about English writing. When I finish my message or writing, I always can't find my own mistakes even though I did follow suggestions from my teacher to re-read and re-write them for couple times. I do agree with above mentioned methods can help me to correct my careless mistakes however I still can't find my structural problems.

Do you have any idea or suggestion to improve English writing ability? I think I do need a teacher who can check my writings and correct my faults every time.

It will be highly appreciated if I can receive your advice by return.
Look forward to receiving your reply soon.

Hello Inch

It's a very general question that you've asked.

Apart from re-reading and re-writing, I suppose you can post on this forum sentences that you're not sure of. That way other members of the board will be able to point out any errors and give you advice.

Cheers

John.

A "worm" is a little creature that lives in the earth. Wink

Warm, obviously is what you meant.

Very Happy Confused Laughing Rolling Eyes
hi everybody, actually, this is my first time to have this sort of experience, a very different way to communicate with poeple, I mean, not noly in English but also in Chinese in my own country as well.
Really, the experience is just beyond any of our intelligence to describe, wow, so amazing and to top it all, if I could get the response from people in other different countries, man, I'd like to say: "It worth all".
I'm a Tainese, and according to the previous messages, I know I'm not alone in this board. Miss Inch Lin, nice to meet you though you might be still in a loss wondering who this bold guy is, dare to make all these remarks like this. No worry, this is just because I'm too setimental to have this chance to make a statement in an international forum.
Well, stop all this brabrabra......,ha.... Laughing Laughing , wish I could have the chance to keep this connection with any of you and, of course, improve all of our Englsih, tata!!![/list]

Writing is really a tough job for us english learners, and it is even quite difficult for native strdents themselves. From my own experiences, it is pretty useful to learn and improve writing skills by reading good sentences and reciting them, do you agree?

hi! my English teacher always told me, that I'm really good at writing, that I have style, but I still can't get rid of simple grammar mistakes, maybe I'm not careful while checking my writing... Actually I like to write in my native language (Russian Smile) , and I really want to try to become better in writing in English! It's true, you always need a qualified person, who can show you your mistakes... Now I don't have such person and I haven't practiced for a long time!

I agree with what illusion said, that it is very hard to find a good teacher to moniter the mistakes we made in the sentence. Do you think there are any online teachers can help?, that we can open a topic and write an essay for them to correct? of course, there may be a charge! Laughing

Hallo at all,

I am a German woman and I started learning English in September last year.

In the moment I am learning business English and I agree with you that
writing is very difficult. First I used the words in a wrong contex and after
that I used the wrong tenses.

I think the only way to learn it is to read a lot, to use simple sentenses and
to ask my teacher for help. Sometimes it could be a good idea to ask for
some help in this forum.

Here are many diferent studients and I am sure that we can help each other.
I think we can learn from each other.

So try it again and again und read also a lot. Don't be affraid of making
mistakes. Making mistakes is live. Smile

Best wishes
