Hi all,

I need some grammar help.

We were all surprised that she should have acted like that.

Now, does this sentence mean
(1) We were totally surprised that she should have acted like that.
or
(2) All of us were surprised that she should have acted like that.
?

Thanks in advance.

KazAV,
Thanks for your help.
So, if it means all of us,

I'm all tired.
This means "totally," doesn't it?
If so, what does the following "all" mean?
We're all tired.

I've never heard of "I'm all tired". We usually say something like, "I'm tired out" to mean that we are totally tired. However, if it is used then it would mean totally tired.

"We're all tired" is the same as in your first post. It means we are all tired.

I don't know if it is used or not. I just made up that sentence. Anyway, thanks for your advice.
