People generally can be dividen into 2 categories:

Those who have heard about Poland and vaguely remember from their 5th grade geography class that it's somewhere in Europe ... but can't really tell you whether it's the same thing as Holland or whether it's just the name of one of the European sausage factories (re. kielbasa) ...

And those who know of Poland and have a strong opinion on the country and it's people (either idealistic love or unrealistic hatred) ...

Which one are you? What do you think about Poland and Poles? Have you ever been there?

Being an Esperanto-speaker in China, I've had the opportunity to meet many Chinese doing business with Poland via Esperanto. It seems to me that Lazarus Ludvig Zamenhof has made a great contribution to building stronger ties between Poland and China which will evolve well into the future, and the Chinese Esperanto community appreciates him very much for this.

Hi Kasia F,

I'm from germany. I was in poland with my family three times in my childhood. (I think it was about twelve years ago). In my Recollection it was nice country an these people which we have got to know were friendly. But there are also a negative thing. It means a lot of Poles steal cars. Maybe it is also a prejudice, however, we have done the experience. Our friends was stolen there car. Sad

Bye caro

Im from Slovakia, neighbour of Poland so I exactly know where it is Very Happy.
I think its beautiful country (actually I dont know country which doesnt have anything beautiful).
Also Poles are ok, I dont have bad experiences with them. Indeed there are some stereotypes about Poles but I dont care about them. Everyone is unique.
I like Polish language cause its very similar to Slovak language. I undesrtand well without big problems. And also its sometimes very funny language for me.
I was in Poland when I was child but surely Id like to visit this country again.
bye
