How are everybody? I am a femal student from saudi arabia. Smile

I want to discuss many questions with you.

I`ll be happy if you help me even if you just answer one question ,really
i`ll a preciate that.

1- Mixed ability is usually considered to be a problem. But is it ? Could there be some advantages to having students of different levels and abilities in the same class?

2- Which qualities do you think are most important in planning a unit of work ? Give Your reasons .Choose from this list , and add others if necessary :
Variety-logic-relevance balance-cohesion-flow

3- Choose one word, for an intermediate level, tell me how do you design your own teaching materials & activities .

4- There are many games which teachers can use to make practice activities more interesting & motivating for students. Do you have any favorite games which you use to practice specific language items ?

5- Here is apiece of student writing , written by a low intermidate student :
Identify & classify the learners errors.
What can you deduce about the learners linguistic development from theses errors?
What steps would you take to improve the learners development ?

Daily schedule
She starts at 9:00 reading all the e-mails received. She use to keep reading and answering them till 10 :00.Then she carry on writing letters to the customers who are waiting for their orders to be delivered .
She stops at 11:30 to make a break and have a coffe in 30 minutes . After the coffe she start making telephone calls till 1:30 when it is time to have lunch.

At 2:30 she make the photocopies that his boss needs for meeting that will be tomorrow. She go on making copies till 4:00 that she starts to check the e-mails and correspondence . She keep doing this till 5:00 that she stops her job to go home
.

6-What are some problems involved in using the internet in your teaching? How would you suggest avoiding or solving these problems ?

7-Make some predications about the way technology is likely to affect the teaching of languages in the next 5 to 10 years. For example, what kinds of translation and interactive programs will be using ? will this make teaching easier?

8- Visit one of the ESL websites and evaluate it in terms of its usefulness. Take into account :
- your students` needs, level, interests, learning style
- your own need and interests-and teaching style
- any technological constraints in your context
- the potential of the site to generate language production
- the potential of the site to motivate learners.

Are you studying this in school somewhere? It looks like you put your assignment down here. Are you studying to be an English teacher? If so, it would be better to try and answer the questions yourself first, and then ask for comments.

*sigh* I have seen many people ask questions, and the only time I've seen them in a form like this, is if they have come from a class. Nevertheless, you may have better luck if you post in the teacher forums on this website, instead of the student forums.
