Is the word order correct:


1.VERY IMPORTANT TO THE AUSTRIANS IS THE FAMILY
or must it be: the family is very important to the Austrians.....



2. The Austrians` most famous meal is Wiener Schnitzel.

(is `meal� in the sentence above totally wrong and must it be `dish�or - to some extent - acceptable?)

or must it be: the family is very important to the Austrians?-- Both are fine, but the first is rather literary.

2. The Austrians` most famous meal is Wiener Schnitzel. -- I would reserve the word meal for breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper. Dish is a much better choice. No need to capitalize wiener schnitzel, and I would turn the nationality into an adjective:

The most famous Austrian dish is wiener schnitzel.
