I am trying to revise as many words as I can almost everyday.Internet and online gaming helps me keeping me in touch with casual phrases and words.
Noone can "open" your mind and put words inside your brain...Try using the words u learnt frequently so that u can remember them. |

Use mnemonics, a memory trick. It involves associating the word with something weird, and other ways. |

What I try to do is start by figuring out
which words might be most useful.
After that, I try to start using those words
in daily use. If this is not an option, then
maybe recording yourself speaking those
words and then listen back to the recording. |

In my opinion, learning vocabulary is a long period work. We had to pay a lot of energy to it.
There are some strategy in this area. First, we can know the meaning of the words from the context. Commonly, it may be expressed in the following one or two sentence. Second, we can make use of the synonym and antonym, or the definition of the new words. Third, it's effective that to remember certain prefix and affix of English words ,and being able to infer the meaning of words.
I hope my suggestion will benefit you. |

I used to use flashcards to help me remember. I would cut small cards, put the vocabulary I wanted to learn on one side, and the translation on the other. Then I would carry the cards around with me and use them while I was waiting for things. You could also use them to practice opposites, different verb forms, etc. |
