I think it's a consensus that no one should declare superiority over others.

Yeah, it is rude in such a place to say such things. It only starts meaningless fights.

I wonder how can you say which culture is the best. All the cultures are different and sadly many people think that different means inferior. It's not true Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

all the cultures are equal and we should try to understand that

I wonder how you can say that. You have the right to be not proud of your country, however, at the same time, youd better hide your dissatisfactory with your motherland culture. What is more, I wonder whether you know your motherland at all. China has a long history of more than 5000 years. There is no doubt that American also has its splendid culture. Just like another person in this forum has said, every culture has its own shining points. I dont know whether you have noticed this or not: learning Chinese has been a fashion recently around the world, at least in Beijing and in my university. There are many foreigners here to study Chinese. And also if you are concerned with the latest news, you will find that the major of London encourages students in his country to learn Chinese. Is there any more powerful evidence than this? So youd better rethink about it and I am sure if you study Chinese culture carefully you will fall in love with it.

No, it has a big culture, but it's a culture that will only lead to its own demise. Americans are stupid, and they indulge in things that will, in time, overcome itself. For example, we always want cheap; that leads to Walmart. Walmart has cheap things. How? Walmart outsources to poor countries. So we have our cheaper things... but in the long run, if all of the jobs are in other countries, what happens to the jobs in America?

Surprised
Similarly, i personally think that the question is not proper. We have no right to say which culture is good or bad. if you do so, that means you do not understand the meaning of culture. Culture is just like a country's history, which belongs to a nation. and of course there is not doubt that every culture does have its advantages and disadvandages. if only people love their own culture, that is enough.

please!!!!!
why do people like to talk about culture again and again?
sort of stupic i really think.

we all live in the same earth.
and the reason why we live in different places and speak different languages is that the earth is so so broad.

please!!!!!!!!!!!!

American culture is not the best. It has many good points, and many ugly points. But I think that, broadly speaking, the SYSTEMS of "open" and "free" societies (democracies, freedom of speech, independent courts and media, etc.) are the best. I think that countries that are "open" and "free" (though none are perfect, including the US) allow that society's culture to develop and grow, and make for more interesting life. All culture should value respect for life, both human and otherwise.

I agree with others that knd1955 shouldn't say so. There's no such best or worst culture. There exist only cultural differences which we need to know in order to understand each other.

Although the country was only born a couple hundred years ago, I think American culture has more diffusion than any other country that I can think of. American food is every where. People watch American movies all over the world. Maybe they listen to American music too. Also American technology is every where.
