Assuming that SF means Sci-Fi... Sphere's a good movie. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow's good too. As for fantasy, I liked The League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen.

My favorite Sci Fi movies? It is tough to decide. I really liked Contact (1997), with Jodie Foster. It has a good story. I enjoyed the Stargate movie. The first two Alien flicks are great, of course. Also The Terminator and Terminator 2. I am not as much into fantasy, but one movie I can recommend is The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It is called "Baron" in Japan. It is visually amazing.
