Hello, If I want to go up to the 2nd floor, but someone is sitting on the stairs, what could I say? Excuse me, can I get past? Excuse me, can you step aside? Clear the way please. None of the above sounds very natural to me... Nawee

A polite 'excuse me' is enough, and you may couple it with some non-verbal communication like gesture or a smile.
