I would rewrite these this way:

Are there any World Cup matches on TV tonight?
Yes, there's one match on the Star Sport channel.
Which teams are playing?
England versus Holland. [Versus means against.]

Who won the match between Germany and the U.S.A. last night?
The U.S. [You could say "America" instead of "the U.S.A. / the U.S., also.]
What was the score?
Two-nil [most places] / two-nothing [U.S.].

[Of course, in reality, Germany would probably beat the U.S., but if you can imagine it, you can write it.]

One thing about giving scores of any sports game: In American English, the winning score is always given first, as in "America won two to zero" (or 2-nothing, 2-zip, 2-nil), but in British English, they'll give the home team's score first. I'm not sure how that would work in the World Cup, though.

when i am announcing world cup games, since we know the two teams who are playing (example: smt/cro) i'll say "serbia 3-0" (if serbia won) or "croatia 3-0" (if cro won).

Smile ...just a thought. iitimone7
