hi just wanted your quick opinion, i'm thinking of dating a chinese girl, but not really too sure about bringing her up to my parents house for dinner because of their beliefs, i don't want to cause conflict. just wondering if it would be an insult to her if i brought her to a chinese restaurant? its my favourite restaurant but don't want to insult her. the only alternative is a japanese restaurant and a mcdonalds. and i know chinese people don't eat japanese food and i know no body like mcdonalds (lol)
any advice would be appreciated _________________ just because i'm different doesn't mean we're different |

You could always suggest a restaurant to her and ask if she'd like to go there - if she doesn't, suggest another one! I don't know this girl or her parents so I can't really tell you what they'd like or what would offend them, but I know Chinese girls who will eat anywhere (and like Japanese food) and who would probably laugh instead of getting offended. Maybe she even likes McDonalds!
Where do you live? Maybe someone here knows more about the cultural background she might have. You know more about her than we do though! |

if choosing restaurant is such problem then you can go wherever you want, in cinema for example or in some interesting place for a walk like yard or just walk in the streets.. Oh, I have a good idea , maybe you'll organize picnic in the yard, it's so romantic ! I'm sure she'd like it. |
