Speaker A: Why don't you buy the ABC series? I thought it was your favorite.

Speaker B: Yes, indeed, it is. But I rather wait to see it on TV. I'd be adictive to watching it until I finish the whole serie.

1) Do you mean 'I'd=I would rather'? yes

2) Why I cannot use 'addictive'?
The ABC series would be addictive; you (the person speaking) would be addicted. It is the thing (substance, drug, food, activity, TV, alcohol, whatever) that is addictive. The person who is vulnerable is addicted.


3) why the verb 'finish' is a past tense?
I was thinking that the speaker would be addicted until the time the series finished. The addiction would not be easy to satisfy after that.
