I have started a new website called www.linguagum.com (LINGUAGUM). It's free, and it works like this:
1: Choose a category.
2: Sign up.
3: Check your email for a message from FEEDBURNER (maybe in spam folder.)
4: Activate feedburner.
5. We will send you an mp3 audio file every day in your email complete with language and grammar notes - free.
6. You practise your pronunciation and learn new vocab every day.
7. Save it to your mp3 player and practise it on the bus.
8. That's it! It's easy and effective... your English will improve much, much faster if you use LINGUAGUM.
Check us out - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! WWW.LINGUAGUM.COM
Don't forget to contact me if you have any questions about it.

I know this useful website and want to share with you. Some of you may know it already.
http://artefact.lib.ru/languages/english/index.html
Here you can download lots of good materials for learning English e.g. Cambridge IELTS listening materials (including pdf files and audio files), Longman grammar books, etc. --> really useful!
But as it's a Russian website, you need to know some important things when you download:
"The following is a step-by-step instruction on getting access to the files you need.
1. LEFT-click on a link to a book. Dont use right mouse button, it wont work out as it gives you fake link.
2. Wait for a small pop-up window (dont forget to unblock pop-ups in your browser) with some Russian text and 5 numeric buttons, one of which you must press to start downloading. Please remember that there is only ONE button that will help you, all others will just close the window. Now youre getting to the point where Ill explain you how to find out which button is A CHOSEN ONE (forgive me, Harry).
3. Look at the text (I didnt mean READ it). The last word means the number of the button you have to click, written in Russian language.
4. один means 1, два2, три3, четыре4, пять5. It can be learned very quickly and easily, and I even omit the fact that youre now a polyglot.
5. LEFT-CLICK a button youve just derived.
6. Enjoy your download."
The link to these instructions can also be found on the top of the web page (in red). It looks complex but quite easy, in deed. Hope you'll enjoy it (like me )
Best regards, |

In addition to my previous post, I just wanted to say that it seems like a reliable and serious website (www.grammarbook.com). If you are feeling rich, you can even pay $1 a question if you want to ask them something about grammar or punctuation! That being said, there seems to be a lot of useful and, as I say, reliable information on the site (free of charge) and a couple of interactive quizzes you can take.
